The “8-37bb report” analyzes the households served under each CHFA program and housing development by race. The report also identifies the number of households served in each program and the total amount of financial assistance provided to each household by census tract. Finally the report documents CHFA’s efforts at promoting fair housing choice and racial and economic integration and includes data on the racial composition of the occupants in CHFA financed developments and those currently on waiting lists. The report is submitted to the standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance on housing matters, generally the Housing Committee. A summary of the report is submitted to each member of the General Assembly.

Connecticut General Statutes Section 8-37bb requires the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA) to report to the Legislature its “Annual report re fair housing choice and racial and economic integration”. This report provides, in detail, lending and investment data on all CHFA housing programs by census tract, income group, households served, race and ethnicity. The annual reporting period is October 1st to September 30th. This report reflects data collected and compiled for the reporting period of October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021.
