The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

Housing Authority Small Improvement Program

(HASIP)
 

Funding is available to State-Sponsored Housing Portfolio developments owned by Housing Authorities from the following:

  • Capital Improvement Program Fund - Applicants can request up to $25,000 per property from the fund and are required to demonstrate 100% matching funds from public, private and/or philanthropic sources or in-kind professional services. (See below for appropriate outline and forms.)
  • Resident Program Fund - Applicants can request a minimum of $1,000 and a maximum of $5,000 per property from the funds for up to one year of funding of a program.  No matching funds are required. (See below for appropriate outline and forms.)
  • Basic Needs Pantry - If your Housing Authority applied and were awarded Basic Needs Pantry (BNP) dollars in 2020, you are eligible to apply for up to $2,000. If your HA has not previously applied for BNP dollars, you are eligible for $30 per SSHP unit (maximum $5,000) plus an additional $2,000 (example:  40  SSHP units x $30 = $1,200 + $2,000 = $3,200). No matching funds are required; however, community partnerships are encouraged. (See below for appropriate outline and forms.) In order to expedite your request, the Application Packages must be submitted electronically to chfashp-2@chfa.org; however, the two original signed Agreements, the original signed SEEC-10 and the original signed and notarized Statutory Provisions document must be mailed to:

Electronic submission of your Basic Needs Pantry Application Package will enable us to review it prior to the receipt of the signed/notarized documents and permit us to process your request expeditiously.
