Housing Tax Credit Contribution
Program (HTCC) Allocations

The Housing Tax Credit Contribution Program generates equity for housing
initiatives undertaken by non-profit organizations. A non-profit that is developing, sponsoring or managing housing for very low-, low- and moderate-income individuals and families can apply to CHFA for an allocation of up to $500,000 in state tax credits. The non-profit then offers the credits to businesses which make cash contributions to support the development. Business firms receive a dollar-for-dollar reduction in their state tax liability in exchange for their financial support of the affordable housing program. CHFA allocates $10 million in HTCC credits annually.
