CHFA 2010 Standards of Design and Construction
PUBLIC REVIEW DRAFT

In conjunction with the development of the 2010 Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP), CHFA is currently revising its Standards of Design and Construction for affordable rental housing for 2010.
An open forum for public comment and discussion of the Public Review Draft of the proposed revised Standards has been scheduled for September 14, 2009 at the Authority’s offices at 999 West Street, in Rocky Hill. This is an opportunity for developers, design professionals, contractors, and other interested parties to influence the Authority’s standards and requirements for the planning, approval and execution of the affordable rental housing developments it finances for families, the elderly, and others with special housing needs in Connecticut. The forum will run from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

A redlined Public Review Draft of the proposed Standards of Design and Construction 2010 is now available to view and download through the CHFA Multifamily Underwriting Document Library.  Developers, design professionals, contractors, and other interested parties are encouraged to read through the documents, and bring their questions, comments and concerns to the forum.

Those interested in participating in the open forum are asked to RSVP to Dodi Vitali, Administrative Secretary at 860-571-4357 or via email to doris.vitali@chfa.org by September 8,2009. Those unable to attend the open forum are encouraged to forward their comments to Charles Emerson, Architect, 999 West Street, Rocky Hill, CT 06067 or via email to charles.emerson@chfa.org by September 21, 2009.
