Pilot Urban Rehabilitation Homeownership (UR Home) Program
The
UR Home Program is a purchase/rehabilitation loan program. The program
officially began on May 1, 2006. Limited funding is available from
the State of Connecticut for rehabilitation costs in conjunction
with the CHFA 1st mortgage for home purchase.
Loans
will be available only in the following six (6) eligible communities:
Bridgeport, Hartford,
New Haven, New London, Waterbury and the Town of Windham-City
of Willimantic (Census tracts 8003-8007 only).
UR
Home loans will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Eligible borrowers include State Employees, Municipal Employees,
if the eligible municipality agrees to participate in the program,
and private sector employees, if their employer agrees to make a
contribution towards their eligible employees' downpayment and/or
closing costs.
