Board of Directors
Policy Statements
Periodically the CHFA Board of Directors adopts policy
statements to provide guidance to staff and the public on a
particular topic. Policy Statements follow a
standardized template which incorporates the following:
- Policy Statement - A brief and
clear statement which defines and provides the context
for CHFA's position, within which CHFA decision-making
will occur. The statement does not limit CHFA
discretion but provides a degree of predictability of
purpose and intent.
- Guidelines - A statement of general
parameters to guide staff and inform the public on the
implementation of the policy to insure consistency with
CHFA expectations. Guidelines are not rules but a
set of parameters within which management discretion and
authority can be exercised.
